Representing Alaska in the Far West Regional U15 Tournament, the CSC Eagles shocked the Hawaii State Champs in a thrilling 2-1 match to win their opening game. In their second game, the boys took perennial powerhouse, Southern California, into the half with a 1-0 lead causing a lot of heads to turn all across Simplot Soccer Complex in Boise, ID. Other coaches and teams gathered to see what this team from Alaska was all about. Unfortunately, SoCal made halftime adjustments to pull away from the Eagles late in what would have been a historic upset. In their third game, the Eagles found themselves up against a tough La Roca FC team from Utah, who clearly didn’t want to mess around with the underdog Eagles.
