The CSC Eagles arrived in Fairbanks with a target on their backs and only one sub on the roster. Last year’s shocking win ensured the Eagles wouldn’t surprise anyone at the AK State Cup, and their opponents were ready. The boys quickly dropped a game, tied a game, and found themselves on the outside looking in heading into a tough matchup with hometown favorite, Eclipse. Coach Lynn Swanson had some tough love for her boys and refocused her team. The Eagles fought their way into the finals expecting to find a rematch against rival Cook Inlet, but instead found themselves up against Valley Revolution.

On a cold, miserable Championship Sunday in Fairbanks, they boys avenged their previous meeting with Valley in the round of three. In the sideways rain and mid-40’s temperatures, the CSC Eagles found the net early and often routing the Valley by four goals to secure back-to-back AK State Cup Championships.

The Eagles will head to the Far West Regionals next June in Boise, ID to represent Alaska in the U15 regional tournament.
